Name of a band

Circa May 2001. Group with an Irish blond male lead singer (tattoo on his arm). he had an incredibly strong voice. Jazz influenced music. The big hit was something like "the most beautiful day of the year". Had the Cd & lost it & it's driving me mad. Any help?????? Thanks

Think it might have been a band called 'Cousteau' as in Jaques with the song 'Last Good Day of the Year' which was brilliant and I've got the album!
