I recently heard another version of Outkast's Hey ya and was told it was the original version. Who recorded it?

I know Will Young did a really good version on Jo Wiley's show on Radio 1, and was played quite a lot, but it isn't the original

Hey ya was written by Andre Benjamin (a member of Outkast), don't know if it's been covered though. I heard that Will Young version & it was really good.

I did some more search as well. Probably the person telling me it was 'the original' was wrong. I found that the Supersuckers did a cover, it might have been them I heard. Doubt it was the Will Young version, I don't know him, but judging from his pictures it was not his type of music. Thanks
