Guitar Backplates
2 Answers
Does anyone know what the backplate on guitars is for? I have a copy Stratocaster and I know it protects the insides but if I take it off, like what I've seen some of my fellow guitarists do, will it affect 1) the guitar and 2) me?
If that makes any sense...
Thanks guys!

I would have thought it would have done something to the cosmetics, I'm trying to 'vintage' it up, if you catch my drift...thanks anyway!
