what is the name of this song and who sings it?

I don't know the name or who sings this song, but it came out in 2006. It was on both country and pop radio. There is a verse in the song that says " so take me home". Then there is a line that says something about taken me to the river.
Can anybody help me with this one?

I'm not sure if its the one your after but it sounds abit like John Denver's Country Roads. Their was a revamped dance edition released sometime in the last couple of years by Hermes House Band. Have a go and let me know.

Possibly it is talking heads "Take me to the river"?? But I cant see that they would play that on a country station so I may be clutching at straws here! :-)
