Can't find the song

Hey! Hopefully! someone knows who this song is by? On the 4th July 2008 channel 4 was playing a new up and coming group who had a black singer who sang a song with rapping in it. Sorry! for lack of detail, I also know it was being played on a programme called 4 music and they mentioned( Independents day), though sadly this doesn't appear to be the name of the artist. I also know that this years sport relief played a bit of the track just before the boxing match for charity. Wish I could be more accurate with my description.
