That seems so familiar. What type of song is it? Is a ballad? Man or woman singing?

this is an answer to "Swiper's" question re. the song lyrics... yes it's a ballad... i've not heard it for years.. I'm pretty sure it's a woman singing. I thought it was Distant Cousins but cannot find it anywhere. Any ideas???
