cheers me dears!!
Totally Addicted to Plaice from Chris Moyles' show. I don't know if you can download it, but it was always googd for a giggle on his show!
or GOOD even!...
It's hard to find, but any Big Brother covers - expecially their version of Springsteen's 'Dancing In The Dark, done as a slow sweet doo-wop, or Survivor's 'Eye Of The Tiger' done in a super-fast Ramones style, are priceless. There is a whole album full, but it's deleted, so you'll have to search for that.
sorry, i really don't read these questions properly! No more postings, I promise!!
Sporty thieves No pigeons. Brilliant track! That'll teach tlc!
Look for a band called "Me first and the Gimme, Gimme, Gimmies" they have done some brilliant covers of songs like "Stand By Me". They have more than one album of covers.
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes have four albums - Have A Ball, Take A Break, Are A Drag and Blow In The Wind. They're all available in this country and are all covers as Tractorboy mentions, in the pop-punk style - and the albums are loosely themed, eg Are A Drag is all show-tunes.
Ween did a bluegrass style version of Snoop Doggy Dogg's 'gin and juice' which is worth a listen. The Radiohead cover of 'nobody does it better' is also good. I also found on the net a cover of 'live forever' done in a very slow style by Counting Crows which I liked. Others worth a mention: Wyclef jean's cover of Pink Floyd's 'wish you were here' and All Saints 'stand by me'.
Spooky! I was just going to mention the hillbilly bluegrass version of Gin and Juice - but the one I know is by The Gourds, not Ween. What I find so funny about it is that while the musical style couldn't be more different, the lyrics are done "straight", so all the expletives and gangsta rap terms are still present! Also, Anarchy In The UK, as done by Alberto y Los Trios Paranoias - in 50s doo-wop style. I (bup-bup-bup-bup) wanna be (bup-bup-bup-bup) anarchy (doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-de-doo-doo-de-doo, dum-dum-dum-dum). Priceless :O)
if you like pain, try: rolf harris -stairway to heaven or bohemian rhapsody the easy listening experince - spaceman (babylon zoo) Star Turn doing "Roll with it" (oasis) and "parklife" (blur) in the vic reeves "club style".
I heard Ash on the radio the other day singing a version of D12 and eminems "How Come". Dont know whether you could get it though.
Thought of a few more... Jonathan king as Bubblerock doing "I can't get no satisfaction" . Nip down the local charity shop and try and find an Lp called "Lennon and mc cartney -tijuana style" on mfp - it's in every god damn charity shop in the country, (along with "Tijuana christmas"!) check out "cant buy me love" you'll p*ss your pants its so funny. .....and let's not forget sid vicious doing "My way".
Great website and it's easy to use. Put a limitless supply of music/movies in your control and on your phone! Great stuff. I HIGHLY recommend this subscription. http://www.flickrmusic.com
