Songs to do with Lancashire
I'm compiling a CD for someone with songs or band names that refer to Lancashire or places within it.
At the moment I have things like Rusholme Ruffians by the Smiths, Shadows of Salford by Doves and even Sale of the Century by Sleeper (I know!). Plus Fleetwood Mac.
Can anyone help by suggesting some others?

Until 1974 both Liverpool and Manchester were in Lancashire. Then the artificial counties of Merseyside and Greater Manchester were born. Whilst both Sale and Timperley are now in Greater Manchester they were both, until 1974 in Cheshire. They never have been part of Lancashire.
Anyway, I've thought of more songs! How about -
Footsie by Wigans Chosen Few
Life in a Northern Town by Dream Academy
You Are My Love by Liverpool Express
The Anfield Rap by Liverpool FC
I'm a Working Man from Lancashire and I want my Chippy Tea by the Hotopots

and following on from pusspuss, anything by Mike Harding, as he is the Rochdale cowboy!
