The US Soul Train - can't be sure, never seen it, but think I read somwhere that it was MFSB by TSOP. There was a British Soul Train on Ch.4 in about 1985 hosted bt the Shalamar singer (Jeffrey Daniels?), but can't reacall the tune.

thanx, cruthinboy! i eventually found that the song is TSOP by MSFB (mother, father, sister, brother). but thanx for your prompt response... (TSOP = the sound of philadephia) daccs
No probs daccs - however, MFSB = Mother, Father, Sister, Brother? Well, perhaps "officially", but the rumours were that it stood for something less shall we say homely. Incidentally, the bit at the end of thetune "Let's Get it On, It's Time To get Down" was sung by the Three Degrees (I think).
