i think he was american, the record was called earthquake, his first and nickname were al (tnt)-whoever,it never made british charts, disco type song.please help,THANK YOU lodgie

Al Wilson. He had a big Northern Soul hit called "The Snake" I remember buying "Earthquake" on an RCA 12" around 1978.
You're thinking of Al "TNT" Braggs who did Earthquake.
A-ha (not the group, just suprise) I was wondering where the TNT bit came into Al Wilson, obviously not him. Doh!
