This question, or postulation, might have been asked previously. It is now a new year "Two thousand and nine". Do you think that this time next year we'll be saying "Twenty ten?"

yeah personally il be using twenty ten, number one it sounds more futuristic and number two its only 2 syllables thus i wont be wasting my time and breath as i would with the ''in the past'' sounding two thousand and 10 which is 4-5 syllables!
