1st no 1 in the us....please mr postman ....marvalettes 1961 1st no 1 in the uk,,,,,baby love....the supremes...........my guy mary wells reached no 5 in 1964......the four tops never had a hit with il be there michael jackson did in the seventies.

4 tops did get to number one, although the correct title was Reach Out I'll Be There. The song I'll be there which Michael Jackson had a hit with was a different song
