What were the "salmon" and "vera's" referred to in this song.  The song is about ecstacy but I just wondered what these terms meant.  Most slang words for E have some halfway sensible meaning.  i.e. jimmys (jimmy hills, pills), gurners, eccys, etc...

Both are rhyming slang:

Vera (Lynn) - skin, as in Rizla paper.

Salmon - from salmon and trout = snout, meaning tobacco.
