What was the name of the village that this opera was set in, or was based on ?

La Gazza Ladra ( the Thieving Magpie) is based on the true story of a servant girl who worked in a village just outside Paris. She was wrongly accused of stealing from her employer. I'm afraid I can't find any more information about where the name of the village, sorry.
