It seems to be common knowledge that Mariah Carey mimed on Saturday night's X Factor. Our family is split over whether Susan Boyle did too. Anyone know?

Miming or voice syncing is common practice for musicians.Why does it matter whether they sang live or not,it is still their song and their voice beng heard.

Fears are growing for star Susan Boyle's wellbeing after she broke down while meeting fans in New York.

She's as fragile as shells and just cant cope with being in the limelight.

Fame to her is a really frightening experience, and it shows clearly when she rarely appears talking on tv.

Will she get over it?.........who knows?....and by the time she has done, it may be too late.

Saying that, she's on course for a No1 hit single.

Do you know something?.....on just snipping through it again, it does look that some of her vocals are live, especially when she holds the lond note near the end and moves momentarily away from the mike, so yes, loks like a live performance, and i may have been wrong.

I think Susan Boyle was live as it wasn't a perfect vocal and it parts sounded live
