My father likes Frank Zappa and I'm looking for a good book. I don't know how much he knows about the man and his life so I don't want to get a biography. He isn't very intellectual so an acedemic analysis would not be appropriate - any ideas? He does play guitar - has anyone experienced a good compliation of sheet music?
you've probably left it a bit late but you should get the first one in 3 - 5 days as it looks like it's in stock. all the ISBN numbers are there though and so you could search elsewhere.

The real frank zappa book is essential reading. Also consider barry miles' book, and michael gray's 'mother'. Even if you think he won't want a biography, I'm sure those will change his mind!
