Where's chappers?

Does anyone know whats happened to chappers (Mark Chapman) on radio 1? Is it all just hype? Is he just on holiday? Does anyone know???

I cant answer that unfortunately but its bugging me too. Cillas voice and the way she says big fact hunt is driving me crazy!

Some bloke just rang Radio 1 to ask about this, thousands of other listeners have also been texting in, and apparently Scott Mills (the DJ) can't say anything about it but apparently there will be some statement from the BBC tomorrow at 4pm??
Definitely sounds like some kind of publicity stunt to me!

Colin Murray made a comment today about Jimmy Krankie's fall and said that someone could take her place who was unemployed, then he mentioned David Blunkett and Chappers. Thought it was strange at the time, so is there something going on then?

This is from Scott Mill's home page from yesterday, but I don't know if anything has been mentioned today?

"I know that you want to know about Chappers but I really cannot say anything yet.  I know that Jo Whiley has hinted at an incident with Chappers and the photocopier at the Christmas party but I have been told not to make comment.  I'm in talks with the people upstairs at the moment and will let you know as soon as I can."
