For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.usually the band or management will decide on the ticket price, they have to consider the hire cost of the venue, and if the band are on a tour they have to consider equipment vehicle hire, petrol, hotels, paying roadies, lighting engineers, promoters, merchandise sellers, not forgetting the support band and their road crew and so on.
Quite a hard one to answer as each band will have different costs, they then have to share the money between each member of the band and the bands own business account too.
Also it will vary on the size of the venue, like whether it is the Astoria or Wembley Arena.
londondave has covered the 1st option of hiring the venue.
If they're paid a flat fee then none of the ticket sales go to the band - they get paid the same amount no matter how many people turn up.
If it's a percentage (usually something like a 70/30 split), the band would get the majority of the ticket sales (obviously in this example 70%)
In both cases the venue management would normally be responsible for all publicity & venue costs (staffing, concert riders, etc). The band would be responsible for staging & transport costs. The venue would normally take a percentage of merchandise sales. Normally there will be a promoter mediating between the band & the venue for the whole tour & would normally take a cut of whatever fee is paid to the band (usually between 5 - 15%)
