Groups Name?

I was working in Madrid, Spain in June 1990 building a control room for a recording studio and one of my co-workers (whom I cannot contact) was playing an album by a group and all I can remember is a song called Jane, I know it's a long shot but has anyone got any ideas. I would put the group in the same category as maybe Del Amitri- Maroon 5-Level 42-ish.

Perfect Day had a song called Jane, I think it was earlier than 1990 though.
