or possibly opera on the radio. All I can remember is the announcer saying that it was the Shepherdess singing to the Shepherd, and I missed the name of the piece. I have never heard it since, I don't play a lot of classical music has anyone any ideas of what it was.

Try Bailèro from Chants d'Auvergne (Songs of the Auvergne) composed by Canteloube. Though this is generally sung as two shepherdesses calling to each other
