Grunge, brit pop, indie and some dance... Although honestly, anything was an improvement on the 1980's back then! I was a teenager all those years ago.

simply red released their excellent album stars in the early 90s, I also liked blur, cringingly "take that", george michael (another good album "older") mariah carey.

there were a lot of one hit wonders as well that were brillo pads
