When i was younger i had a tape with lots of (i think) pop songs, i think it may have been called hits for kids or something like that. it had songs on it like daddy dont you walk so fast, this is the stair where i always sit, goodbye sam hello samantha, and happy birthday to ya. (some of these titles may be slightly wrong). I would love to get hold of this album and would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light.... thanks

I seem to recall this q being posted a few months back...anyway the compilation you want was called Hits for Kids, released as a Ditto 2-cassette pack. The songs were not done by the original artists. I suggest looking at jumble/car boot sales, attic sales , charity shops etc. Eventually you will find a copy.

Additionally, there were usually a few companies who provided session cover versions for cheap compilations of the day like Hot Hits and Top of the Pops, they frequently recycled songs onto other compilations so try those albums too.

I had that tape i seem to recall..im sure it was called 'pop hits for kids' and im also fairly sure it was the original artist onit. It had 'stand and deliver' by adam ant and the wombles song. no idea where to get it but maybe try ebay? I have looked for my old copy but i cant find it!
