Weird music - any favourites?
23 Answers
There is some pretty odd stuff out there amongst all that hippitty hoppitty, rock, pop, and dubstep. Some of it can cross over into the aforementioned, but some is just downright uncategorisable.
Here are a few favourites of mine:
Renaldo And The Loaf - Songs For Swinging Larvae (totally 'hatstand')
Duffo - Give Me Back Me Brain (weird and hilarious)
Einsturzende Neubauten - Halber Mensch (dark and nasty)
Laibach - Get Back (warped version of the Beatles classic)
The Residents - Easter Woman/Dumbo The Clown/The Electrocutioner (the stuff that nightmares are made of)
Throbbing Gristle - Tiab Guls (very creepy and disturbing -especially if you turn the backwards vocals round the right way)
Aphex Twin - Windowlicker/Upright Kangaroo/Rubber Johnny (mental but great)
