i have the chance to go and see this, but don't know anything about it.
I absolutely love the pirates of penzance, and the mikado - do you think i would like this too?

I can't really afford it and it would be a real treat (if it's any good!)

Yes, Iolanthe is one of my G&S favourites. Obviously very dated now but it is a marvellous skit on politics, the House of Lords in particular. Also has some great tunes. Do go and see it if you can afford it. Clearly, like everything else the quality of the performance will depend upon the skill of the company.
