I was in Asda cafe today and at the next table was a young woman with her small baby (looked to be about 6 months old). The little one had had his ears pierced and was wearing a stud. I wonder what others think of this practise?
I had my daughters done when she was 8, my Dad went ballistic saying "If you were meant have holes in your ears, you would be born with them"...
but 6 months..terrible
I was in a shop about a year ago and there was a wee tot getting her's done - the poor wee soul was screaming the place down. My daughter and I had to leave as it was quite upsetting (plus I was gonna punch the mother :) )
I had mine done when I was about 7 but that was because my parents had just divorced and I was playing them off against each other. My daughters won't be having theirs done until they are at least teenagers.
She wanted it done so badly that it turned out to be the perfect present for a 13 year old. I would never let her wear anything that exposed her belly anyway....she still has it in 5 years later and she still hasn't exposed her belly except on holiday :-)
