Superb guitarist, was only 58 years old

As sad loss, following on so soon after the death of another rock legend Ronnie James dio last year
Sorry, but never heard of him. Was he part of a band, or just a solo artist?

A sad loss......he was part of my 'growing' up.....
Sad indeed, he was a class guitar player. I shall dig out CD with Parisienne Walkways on it and play it in his memory. It is hard to find on any juke boxes now.

johnny -google...
Sad day for music....
never heard of him but quite like that song
Question Author
Apart from being an accomplished and renowned guitarist he also was part of Thin Lizzy for a while and I didnt google that...he will be sadly missed and it will be a huge shock to many..
I get that others dont realise the loss to music- im just glad that anyone who didnt appreciate him before he died can at least now.
You can see ( and hear) just how good he was when he played with Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce on the old Cream song. As good as Clapton, if not better, IMHO.
