Probably totally wrong here but the one I'm thinking of was from the 70's Gilbert O'Sullivan the song was Oh Claire. It did have either a young child or baby at the end.

seem to remember something about the baby doing the twist
Hi Tomuk62. I'm in Sweden and I remember from my childhood Stikkan Andersson - the ABBA "Godfather" - singing a song called Baby-Twist together with his daughter Marie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvF8_mWNAuE I know I've heard it in English but I can't find a reference to that. It could be Baby Sittin' Boogie by Buzz CLIFFORD

words were
"Groovy, groovy baby
