where did pop music originate and how did it beging and who begun it and where?

That's a hard question to answer as music has evolved over time and 'Pop' really means popular music.

In the UK modern 'Pop' music started with Skiffle bands and people like Lonnie Donegan who influenced people like the Beatles and it went from there.  In the states it started with people like Buddy Holly.

Pop music has taken from genres such as Blues, Gospel, Rock, Soul, Funk, Disco and Motown.  So there is no definate time or place.
