What happens to the bodies of suicide bombers?

Teddy - this is not a nonsense thread - There will be some remains of suicide bombers, unless they carried a large amount of high explosive.

Sandyroe thinks the London sucide bombers' remains were returned to their families, and I suspect he's right. I wonder if the graves have become a focus for radicalisation of young Muslims now?

I think we would have heard about it if they were, venator - Muslim graves (usually) as very low-key affairs. The Muslim cemetery in Brighton has no memorials or anything like that, just a stone slab in the ground.

I don't think it would even have been reported - and bear in mind that the July 7 explosions are only now being reported upon, it's quite possible that any remains are safely in a coroner's morgue somewhere, and not released to anyone yet.

its been 6 years and i find no news report of their opinions.i can only assume they are keeping a dignified silence.I do believe that remains being found is more the exception than the rule though.

I stand corrected then - but I do know that for ordinary Pakistanis this is not unusual, their bodies are sometimes repatriated to family graves back in their country of origin. This sounds like the remains being buried in the family village, not particularly taken back because he was a "martyr".

Teddy - can I suggest we get some suicide bombers and blow them up under controlled conditions, to see how much explosive is needed to vapourise them?
