If they believe that IS is a "perversion of Islam" and therefore they don't go to Paradise on death, this should be publicised in every mosque, school and in the Press.

It isn't, of course, and British Muslims can't deny that dead IS terrorists go to Paradise, while publicly denouncing their actions.

Is that approval in your book?

Too flexible, Muslims seem to be afraid of saying anything at all about their religion, the chance of offending their tribal leader/imam means instant dishonour. Two faced would be my opinion, Islam is everything to them so they can turn either way. They will not commit to disowning their own.

I'd guess most British Muslims want nothing more than a quiet life. If a layman came out and criticise extremists he'd be putting his head above the parapet. There used to be a saying here, 'Whatever you say, say nothing'. It would be as good a piece of advice in Bradford as it ever was in Belfast.

Most victims of IS are fellow muslims.

Not sure how you know what British muslims think and who they do and don't approve. A muslim killing another muslim is not a good muslim.

It was reported today that the latest victims of Boko Haram were Muslims attending a mosque whose cleric had spoken out publically against them. For some, at least, fear may be what keeps them silent.

If they did, it would be a strong weapon against radicalisation.

Perhaps someone might find some imam's fatwa against IS?

When you push far enough, you do tend to get ambivalence.

I was disturbed when, after the Tunisian slaughter, there was a minute's silence nationwide on Friday. It was reported that "Several mosques also observed the silence." I want to know why ALL mosques did not observe the silence and if the ones that didn't have been descended upon by the security services as it was a dead giveaway as to their ideas.

British Muslims condemn IS actions, but still regard them as brothers in Islam.

They will not say IS terrorists do not go to their Paradise, so do they stand with them against us?
