have they used all the vaccine? has any vaccine been wasted?
The Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine is on the verge of being approved. Fingers crossed the pace steps up.
No,more than that surely ,?
At the moment aren't they vaccinating people in care homes? If so there are logistical problems due to the low temperature that the vaccine is kept at.
So another balls up by Hancock!!
Still no call up for me & as far as I'm aware, no GP's around here doing jabs.
Sharon, it is not Hancock's fault:-

It is a mistake to assume any of the statement/promises have any other meaning/purpose than as wallpaper (those printed pieces on A-boards outside a newsagents, changed/binned within hours).
My son is extremely high risk. Nurse said come here on the 25th and we will vaccinate you. He pointed out that was Christmas Day. She said, so it is, make that mid January then.
Don't wish to shock you in any way but maybe, just maybe, they're doing the best they can under horrendously difficult circumstances.

I repeat what I said. Hancock assured us all that the vaccination roll out was well prepared. They've only done 20k since they were bragging that they'd done half a million nearly a week ago. How did they manage to do half a million in less than 2 weeks.
TC, did you actually read my link?
Question Author
Yes I did, my point now is that it proves that Hancock and Boris are a down and out liars, as with the false figures for testing in the past. If they continue along these lines, not only are we going to reach 100 k deaths very soon, but people are going to take not a scrap of notice of what they ask any more.
i'm getting one in work next week, the hospital trust I work in are doing all the staff if they want them.
teacake, have you got a link to your figure?
That is 5,000 a day.
So in a year will have jabbed less than 2 millon people.
We have ordered 300 million doses (for 150 million innoculations).
That would take 75 years (at 2 million a year) to use up.

So herd immunity should start to kick in sometime in 2095.

Your figures seem surprisingly low, almost unbelievable, teacake. Have you got a link?
If there correct it must be an odd tempory blip because the offical stats even for just England showed
" NHS vaccinations in England for COVID-19 began on Tuesday the 8th December. In the 13 days to Sunday the 20th December 521,594 people received an NHS vaccination. "
Its been noticed by me that sunk allways ignores whether info is fake news or not and just posts an anti goverment statement whatever the data.
Dont mention anti goverment or we will be overun..they are like fleas on a dog .. as soon as one appears the rest follow !
