I see many requests on here from posters to other posters to admit when they have got it wrong, if you are able to do that, most of the time you will be admired and may be listened to in the future and taken seriously.

The problem we have with this government, and half the reason we struggle to get out of this mess, is they can't find it in them to do this, the result is that people will no longer do as they ask, and refuse to believe in what they say even if the evidence is there.

This morning on TV we have Matt Hancock making such a stupid statement it was past ridiculous. Quote. The PM was right in saying schools are safe, and for teachers, but he had to close them because children can pass the virus. un quote.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, is this not like me saying my central heating boiler is safe to use, but I closed it down because it was leaking deadly fumes. This idiot is just one big creep, he couldn't get any further up the PM backside if he tried.

I don't actually care if Matt Hancock is right, wrong or apologises. I have found him so odious and power mad throughout this pandemic I just want him to slip into obscurity - and he can take Whitty with him.

The schools are still open and rightly so.
The debate now is about how open they should be.
I find it hard to get too worked up who said what and when to be honest. I agree it’s frustrating and I don’t care for Hancock and Johnson either. But then I wonder what I’d do in their position and it’s less clear.

Its easy, you stop telling lies to the public when you get it wrong, its obvious that not all will go to plan, but the last thing you want is for the public to distrust you, and I'm afraid that's the way its heading. Hancock even refused to accept that the police got it wrong regarding the two young ladies taking some exercise ( within the laws that they made)

Am not supporting Hancock or the goverment because the case for closing schools if its right now was allso right in mid December so why delay it and cause confusion.
But he is right in that school buildings are fairly safe (seating in set places, class/year bubbles, one way systems, desks apart, sanitiser in every room, masks in corriders, staggered start, lunch and finish times, teachers kept 6 feets from pupils, regular cleaning of desks, no shared books, open doors and windows, ect ect.. The problem to me is that the kids then mix on the way home, at bus stops, in the local shops and supermarkets and then play at each others homes so one infected person can infect others quickly and they infect parents. . They should of realised

They'll do that whether they're in school or not, Bobbin. At least for the hours they are in school they won't be able to.

They should never have opened IMHO we should have moved to remote learning a lot quicker than we have, my only worry is the children of critical workers.
