if this was a news item, have you got a link?
guilt for murdering unarmed innocent women
I've now read the article, bearing in mind we don't know the full facts, as I understand it, the women were exhorted to gather at the Mosque by their Imans, the Militants, while sheltering among the women, opened fire.

I'm not excusing the actions of the IDF, but you have to put yourself in their position, and consider what, in those circumstances, you would have done.
cold blooded murder, snipers know what they are aiming at!
They know exactly what they are doing. They are aggravating tension and using this to draw the palestinians into defending themselves. And when the palestininans do respond the israelis get into the usual state of paranoia and ask the rest of the world to help them eliminate "suicide bombers". They are 100% guilty of butchering unarmed women and civillians.
Here is an extract of the news:

ONE person was killed and three wounded as Israel hit a mosque in the northern Gaza city of Beit Hanun in an air strike overnight, witnesses and a medical source said.
The source said four people were initially hurt in the raid, one of whom died of his wounds. His identity was not immediately known. One witness said that his son had been on the roof of their home next to the mosque and was among those wounded in the raid. An army spokesman said the aircraft had targeted "Palestinian terrorists placing an explosive charge near a crossroads in the Beit Hanun sector, not far from a mosque, but it was not attacked".
Israel has stepped up its offensive on Gaza since Wednesday, killing 28 Palestinians in three days.
A Palestinian security source said about 30 Israeli armoured vehicles entered the town of Jabaliya overnight, while another incursion took place in Sudania, north of Gaza City.
Cold blooded murder - even if the women knew they might have beeen in danger!

yes, as i said, sniper's are trained marksmen and know exactly what they are targeting.
Whoops, sorry for the ditto on your first three words maxximus - I didn't notice them until after reading through Doggy2's reply.
guilty.
On the other hand:
June 25, 2006 - Eliahu Asheri, 18, of Itamar, was kidnapped by Palestinian terrorists from the Popular Resistance Committees while hitchhiking from Betar Illit, southwest of Bethlehem, to Neveh Tzuf, where he was studying. His body was found on June 29 in Ramallah. Israeli Authorities believe Asheri was murdered by his captors shortly after his kidnapping.
April 17, 2006:Nine people were killed and at least 40 wounded in a suicide bombing near the old central bus station in Tel Aviv.
March 30, 2006: Four people were killed in a suicide bombing outside Kedumim in the northern West Bank. The Al-Aksa Martyrs Brigades took responsibility for the attack.
December 29, 2005: Three people were killed - two Palestinian civilians and an Israeli soldier - in a suicide bombing at a checkpoint near Tulkarm. The suicide bomber was apparently planning to target one of the many children's events taking place in Tel Aviv for the Hanukkah holiday, but was stopped at the checkpoint. Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
August 31, 2004: Sixteen people, including a 3 year old, were killed and about 100 injured when two buses in Beersheba were attacked within minutes of each other by suicide bombers. Hamas claimed responsibility.
May 2, 2004: An Israeli woman, in her eighth month of pregnancy, was shot dead along with her four daughters when two Palestinian terrorists fired on their car at the entrance to the Gaza Strip settlement bloc of Gush Katif. After the car spun off the road after the initial attack, the terrorists approached the vehicle and shot the occupants at close range. Fatah and Islamic Jihad claimed joint responsibility for the attack.
September 26, 2003: Eyal Yeberbaum, 27, and 7-month old infant Shaked Avraham were shot dead by a Palestinian terrorist who knocked on the door of a home in Negohot, south of Hebron, during a celebratory Jewish New Year holiday dinner. Islamic Jihad took responsibility for the attack.
June 17, 2003: A shooting attack near the Kibbutz Eyal junction of the Trans-Israel Highway killed a 7-year-old girl and wounded three members of her family, including her 3-year-old sister. The Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine claimed responsibility.
Etc., Etc.....
Clanad, I have noticed you are very selective and where it concerns jews you are the first one to defend their actions. I am not sure what other forums you visit but you seem very selective and biased in your argument. You call palestinians "terrorists" I call the whole israeli cabinet a bunch of terrorist and of war mongerers. There's a difference of definition I suppose.

The crimes israeli army has committed against humanity is unforgivable and beyond the width of this forum. So you can go ahead with your agenda and support israelis with their actions but do not forget that they are not as innocent as you put it and have lots of bloods in their hands. They have aggaravated the situation and know exactly when to use that as their bargaining chip.
Gee, Doggy2... I was simply trying to give somewhat of a balanced picture... That didn't work obviously... I would say, though, that I don't see any group within the Israeli government leaping to take claim for the deeds... but, Hey... I'm just predjudiced, I guess...
It's ok Clanad I thought I should point out to you the obvious.
You obviously think all palestinian are terrorist and think that is a balanaced picture with your selected accounts of events I will certainly endeavour to call it 'biased'. This is where we start to differ in our opinion.
Difference is perspective... you call them militants, I call them terrorists. While you perceive me as being all defensive of the Israelis, I do find it interesting that an event of this nature, no matter how tragic thatcould involve mis-deeds, unintentional or not, by the Israelis is met with condemnation and derision, whereas, the point I tried to make, is the Jews suffer death and destruction on a random but focused basis almost daily. Then, following such events, (such as the daily rocket attacks from Gaza) Hamas, Fatah or a myriad of other such organizations can't wait to take the responsibility and glory (in their view) for killing, maiming and destroying Jews who were doing nothing but trying to exist. Let's not forget, shall we, the Israeli government pulled completely out of Gaza (wrong move, in my opinion) and look what the Palestinians did to the Jews, but more importantly what they did to each other... defenceless, in my opinion...
Clanad whilst I do not condone the actions of palestinians nor israelis against eachother you have to look a bit deeper into the situation over there. I think the issue of the land is playing with the psyches of many arabs especially when that land is taken away from them. There has been more than 17 UN resolutions and their violations by Israel. Since 1980's Israel has continued with aggressive expansion and illegal settlements into the occupied territories despite condemnations from most of the international communities (yes international communities and not only those arab countries that are sitting on the UN board). And Israel has ignored them all with the tacit approval of the americans.
Under Sharon's government israelis were going to stop the illegal expansion and settlements in the occupied territories as part of a deal to the palestinians. How can this be a deal when they go and build a house illegally in someone else's territory and then use this as a bargaining chip to a negotiation???
If you want to put things in perspective that's fine but one has to look at this situation in a bigger picture. Next time when you see israelis go around bulldozing the houses of civillians on the pre text that they are harbouring terrorists don't expect the palestinians to tap them on the shoulder and say thank you for demolishing my house! For the same reason that you do not expect an Israeli boy whose father and mother have been blown up into pieces when sitting at a cafe to say, here is everything you want, and blow others up as well, and we will give you everything else that we have too.
Continued...
You say "difference is a matter of perspective" I say "Terrorism is a matter of perspective" - look at the American settlers fighting the British - freedom fighters or terrorists - time lends distance and heals rifts.
If I look at the world leaders and see who terrorises me - a 'terrorist' - it is George Bush, and by his ineffectual simpering hand-wringing, Tony Blair.
By all means let's have a war on terrorists - people who frighten and intimidate others for financial and political gain - but let's make sure it includes everyone who falls into that catagory.
On another note re: israelli IDF killing unarmed women knew exactly what they were aiming at. It's a cold blooded murder.
