Does it really matter? the publicity that one and all were seeking has been given to them. With all of the money and time spent it would be nice to see something useful done, not that I watch it.
As odious (and ugly) as the truly monstrous Jade Goody is, and trust me on this one - I can't stand the sight or sound of it - I genuinely don't believe she, or her sidekicks for that matter, were being racist.
They were being bullies to the utterly gorgeous Shilpa Shetty because (1) she is significantly better looking than any of them (2) she is significantly more successful than any of them and (3) she is significantly brighter than any of them (obviously point 3 is a given considering your average clag-nut is brighter than the three of them combined).
They were bullying somebody who just happened to be Indian - this is not racism.
flip-flop is right. It was jealously - pure and simple - and it would have happened regardless of her race or colour. Those moronic girls, to their shame, hadn't a hope in hell of competing with someone more educated, more articulate, more beautiful and certainly far more cultured and dignified than they could ever hope to be.
And yes, Neil, the politically correct in their eternally blinkered stupidity, did jump on the bandwagon.
As usual, if they can use someone to get some publicity, they will take it with both hands. Yes, they were silly to let them selves be used by bb. Still, i bet they have got more money in the bank than me :-(
