Isn't he the Middle East Peace Envoy or some such?

What's he doing/saying about israel?Gaza and Iraq?

no it may not, but he cannot afford to be left right or centre, his so called job is to be a Middle East Envoy, to mediate, not play British politics.
his stance would be if its a real job to help those in need, intervene, get those miscreants round the table, no one does the job as a Labour, Conservative, Lib Dem or raving loony party member.

i am not being naive i am saying that as an envoy and the same for anyone who takes on that role. ambassador, in the nature of the job party affiliations won't come into it. He will presumably stay a Labour man,
that doesn't mean he brings that to the job of peace envoy. don't understand why you can't see that.

I don't understand why you can't see that if he is successful in advancing the stalemate towards a solution then it will look good for the current government. Now why would he want to do that and alienate all his supporters / cronies / business associates?

surely if Cameron were peace envoy, then party politics doesn't come into it.
its a job without political stance, surely. He may not have changed his politics i never said he did, but as a Peace Envoy, why would he bring his Labour credentials to the table, no more clegg or milliband, Cameron
