Replace 'poor' with 'rich' and you have an idea of Tory aims with their inheritance tax proposals.

May as well confiscate it all then?

We need a more egalitarian society and tax is one way to achieve that. I know that will be unpopular with the rich but it needs to be said.
Oh, right. (Puzzled face).
Surely this is good news with the way house prices are going.

On a side note, the article states "Labour has also announced proposals to give victims of sexual offences the right to challenge decisions by police not to prosecute suspects". Wasn't this made available last year?.

I'm sure I read somewhere that countries with the smallest gap between the wealthy and the poor, Sweden for example, have the biggest share of social cohesion. That could only be a good thing.
