Matt Hancock for his statement last night, for telling us all something no one else even thought of. Quote,( We need a vaccine to fight coronavirus), you don't say, well I never. How did he work that out all on his own. :0)

It seems that in most countries only a fraction of the population has been infected.
That’s very bad news and puts us in a Catch 22 situation: either carry on trying to limit the spread of the disease u too such times as a vaccine becomes available, or actually encourage more of a spread.
Having so few cases will actually hinder the testing I’d have thought as well.
China and the US also have vaccines that started human testing last month but I’m not sure how far that has gone
So where is the PPE from Turkey now - still sitting on the runway at Brize Norton??
It is being checked prior to distribution.
Another thread descends into mutual abuse. Zzzzzzzzz
Keir Starmer well and truly made Hancock wriggle this morning.

Why dont you go and join the fruitcake in the countryside, maybe you'll both get lost...you know nothing about anything , you prove that on a daily basis, all you do is try and spread negativity about people and situations you have no first hand knowledge of whatsoever, just the garbage thats injected into your mind from that rag the bastion of leftie ideology the guardian....
thats to diddelydodo or whatever its called
TheWholeTruth -lol! glad you cleared that up -I was just about to either virtually punch your lights out or be horrifically offended :-)

No. Having served in the RAF, I can assure you if the plane landed at 3am it will have been unloaded by 4am. Unlike civvy street, you're in the forces 24 hr/7 day a week, they would not have waited to start work at 8:30.

there are some quite good reasons why you dont break a trial and peek! half way thro - chiefly it makes you decide the wrong thing. that is - it is not working when it is

chloroquine was 'different' - they kinda died on the end of the syringe

prontosil rubrum was abandoned in 1936 because too many women were dying in the non-tmt group! - first antiobiotic

one of the things is that there isnt enough disease to measure a treatment effect ( here )

how is it that Ich can make a sensible comment amidst the floods of

foo! - slow day den foo dat! foo again! tea-cake is one - tea cake I mean. foo again! 3 x (dere is somefing wrong wiv him den!) - a teasing: "the language used about Tea cake is fracking disgusting!"
a gnomic " cant tea cack spell or sumfing?" - a delphic " what does this thread mean" foo!
and so on and so on
sense and truth.
mixed with insane ramblings,
quite a mixture even for answerbank.

yeah foo like in the Galllpolli Landings 1915 ( proprietor , planner and owner, one Winston S Churchill ) they landed and then stopped for tea on the beaches unstead of taking the heights above Gallipolli - which is where the Turks were.

yeah and they sat on the beaches and sang - who do you think you;re kidding mr abdul - if you think ole Dinglands done ....
No OK not that bit - the rest is 'true;(*)

yeah and the offensive in 1916 in the mines - MINES ! where the Germans - er Huns to you - where the Germans realised you could tap the telegraph wires underground - by laying long lengths parallel to the lines in counter mines and they would mirror the current changes....
and the one message came froo - good luck tomorrow at 07 30

and the secret was out !

yeah like that Vulcan ?

(*) but what is troof said Pilate

Teacake. I migrated away from this place because whenever I tried to get any discussion going, it quickly descended into a pub brawl, with all the usual bores and drunkards joining in with their two-pennyworth.

This morning, on the website I went to, I posted a point about a Guardian article detailing how the Nightgale Hospital in London is virtually empty because of an acute shortage of critical care nurses.

Now, 33 or so 'answers' later, I note that there has been no sniping, no name-calling, no back-biting, no personal attacks; instead, a series of points raised contributing to the general debate.

I just popped in here to see what was happening, and as it happens to remind myself why I went.

If you like, I will create a new email, on which you can contact me for details of this other place. (I'll leave the email 'up' for an hour, then delete it completely, so it won't compromise me or anyone else).

It's a shame, because I like some of the people round here!

Allen.
Vulcan, the only thing that may have held it up is if the plane and cargo needed any decontamination, but I'm sure that would be been completed by now.
PP. I see you have to go back over a hundred years to make your puerile point, I'm referring to the RAF in the 21st century.
Allen I totally empathise with you. I've been surfing the 'big Boy/Girl forums more and more, and although they aren't moderated there are very few 'fights' on the sensible threads and one can have a jolly good debate. Some AB'ers seem to be constantly in a state of high anxiety/frustration that they can't say what they really want to, so stand with loaded handbags calling each others childish names and pulling each other up for bad spelling and grammar. I think the admin should have an hour a day where anyone can tell anyone just exactly what they think of them, then its all deleted, everyone can dust themselves down and start trying to act like grown ups. The novelty would wear off after a couple of days and then everyone could just get back to normal. :-)
They also showed the plane on the early news this morning and it was almost empty and it was still dark so no waiting about to have tea.
‘ the only thing that may have held it up is if the plane and cargo needed any decontamination’

Not quite true, they had to check it was up to standard.
This ‘experts in the field’ article might also be interesting to the detractors:
