Well , I know its not good all round for anyone, but I was absolutely gob smacked when the government first said that they were going to pay 80% of peoples wages, and for self employed, along with other business expenses. Now whether all this has materialised has it should, albeit at a slow pace, I don't know. As for pensioners income, it may be that they will be the very few that will have disposable income in the coming months to help boost the economy. Its highly unlikely that holidays abroad will be on the cards for a long time, so money will be spent in the UK.
But I still say that most have had it to good for to long, and this situation will bring us back down to earth, plus we don't have much choice but to take what's on offer, (some better than none.) Look at the poverty in other countries and we have nothing to complain about. We have never been in a position were we can't just have what we want, when we want it, and it don't go down well.
