AH points made well may be called preaching
but they are still made well ( ben trovato - but hell who does Italian nowadays)
I voted No, I prefer him to, for example, that Gove bloke !! Come on Boris, pull your flamin' socks up ....
To a degree, roadman, yes. But I haven't seen anyone attempt to deal with a pandemic before. He clearly couldn't win. Isolations and lockdowns were hugely damaging, particularly to the people they were meant to protect. But, if he hadn't done that, he would have been labelled a granny-killer etc.
It's impossible to know how any other leader would have behaved. And as far as a party, I can't bring myself to care much. The problem is for those that weren't able to see sick and dying relatives... but would a different PM have not also gone with any lockdowns?
As to being a liar or hypocritical, I asked gully, once, and he didn't answer and I'm not into politics myself.
Which politicians are not? I genuinely thought it was part of the job.... so for future reference, which names can be completely trusted please?
peter pedant the thing is that the general public generally dont have common sense they look at these leaders and think well they are the leader if they show total disrespect for their own rules then it does cause issues through the nation its like when trump told people to inject disinfectant or when boris suggested he should be injected with covid because it was just a scare oh look few month later he is laying in a hospital bed due to covid lol the guys not fit to lead my country
pixie374 fact is he was left out of covid meetings because people were scared what he would know or say to the public For Funks Sake
conservative party deserve better
Roadman at 14.37. Where did you get that ‘fact’?
> We have all been guilty of rule-bending hypocrisy at some point in our lives

Maybe, but not every point, and we're not all Prime Minister when we do it.

This should be a slam-dunk, "PM misled Parliament" resigning matter ... it's an absolute urine-take.
//conservative party deserve better//

Such as who, roadman?
roadman; //...its like when trump [sic] told people to inject disinfectant...// This is a malicious lie spread by his detractors, Trump never said such a thing;

pixie374 i dont know to be honest and who am i to say who would be a better fit all i can say is he is not fit for purpose
nice try khandro

Don't need to read an article, Khandro, just watch it for yourself ...

Fair enough, but we would obviously need a replacement- for better or worse.
*Chortlesplutters*
Snap, roadman ...
crackle and pop
What he said is written verbatim in my link, & he doesn't say that disinfectant should be directly injected, he said it kills it on the skin & outside of the body and ponders whether the virus it can be killed similarly inside the body, he's asking questions to a medical person off the screen.

It wasn't a stupid question.
The president first posed the question April 23 after William Bryan, undersecretary for science and technology at the Department of Homeland Security, presented a study that found sun exposure and cleaning agents like bleach have an adverse effect on the coronavirus. Bryan was referring to the use of disinfectants on surfaces and in aerosols, but Trump asked whether the chemicals could be used in a potential COVID-19 treatment, as well.

Some websites and social media users took that question to mean the president was recommending people inject themselves with bleach or isopropyl alcohol, an ingredient in hand sanitizer. But others said Trump meant something very different — that doctors could investigate whether using sunlight or disinfectants could clear the virus in patients.
"Definitions: Antiseptics are used to kill or eliminate microorganisms and/or inactivate viruses on living tissues (intact or broken skin and mucous membranes).
Disinfectants are used to kill or eliminate microorganisms and/or inactivate viruses on inanimate objects and surfaces (medical devices, instruments, equipment, walls, floors).
*Certain products are used both as an antiseptic and as a disinfectant (see specific information for each product)."*
