Boris Johnson is said to be eyeing up a political comeback and is said to be watching and waiting as to how the fate of the Cons unfolds for things to drop in his lap.It is alleged that he is bored with his life away from Westmister and needs to settle unfinished Business . Get your party hats out and bring your own booze.

Boris getting leadership wouldn't make much difference. The public know the party just turns on their leader if they look like taking the public's view seriously.

A better bet would be to ally with Reform when Reform wins the next election.

OG 18.18. Looks like you can also see the end of the Con Party coming on then OG .Hope you are correct.

Unsure I'd go that far, but with 2 allegedly right of centre parties and one supposedly left of centre party, it'd end up with so many coalitions and minority governments it'd be difficult to tell it from PR by the results. But eventually it'll inevitably evolve to two dominant parties once again.  May be interesting to see who drops out. (Maybe all three.)

It is quite amusing that Gulliver has this obsession with somebody that is no longer of influence in Government.

The irony is BJ was a significantly better PM than the current clown leading an utterly incompetent Government - thankfully, and without a single shadow of a doubt, they WILL be a one term Government.

Deskdiary 22.22."BJ was a significantly better PM. than the current clown" *That is just your opinion*. However "Boris Johnson was one of the worst PM's in recent times. He squandered one of the strongest political positions held by an occupant of No 10 in record time after winning an 80 seat majority dissipated at extraordinary speed as he dealt with a series of scandals with a ham-fisted mixture of denial ,disorganisation and even outright lying......OK.

Gulliver, I can't find anything to support the claims in your OP.  Where did you get that from?

There may have been scandals but are you saying that's worse than destroying the country because that seems to be what our present leader wants?

gully & nb remind me of the two old blokes in the "Muppets". Chuntering away to each other.

There is an article in the Daily Telegraph reporting on this but as usual gulliver cherry picks and leaves out the bit "Ex PM dismisses idea of return".

The thing is that if you miss out the name of Boris in gulliver's last post at 08.37 he could be talking about the present PM.

8.37am - You should acknowldege the source rather than try to pass something off as your own thoughts. Bad form.

Davebro 08.57 Take note of what TGL "The Gruesome Lady"  Thatcher said.  When a person starts to be insulting it means they have not one single political argument left in them .😀😁😂🤣.

8.57 davebro3

Who is nb?

gulliver, every time you call people suckers and pepper your posts with laughing emojis, you are insulting people.  If you're so fond of quoting Mrs Thatcher - which you do on a regular basis - take note of her words.

Question Author

08.57 davebro MY Favourite character in the muppets was Thatcher it looked like her and even sounded like her.Pity Boris was not around in those days.🤣

Thatcher was in The Muppets?
