Are M.P.'s considered by the Inland Revenue as Self Employed? I was lead to believe it to be true?

No, they are employed by the House of Commons.

Many thanks Aristotle. I was curious because if self-employed they would be responsible for their cost of travelling to and from work but, if employed they are receiving 'benefit-in-kind, one asummes?
