They're homophobic
They're intolerant
They're ignorant
They're also untrustworthy. The party's ranks are filled with thugs and lunatics. Would you seriously trust a madman like this to be in power? I know I certainly wouldn't. Just about every assertion he makes is totally laughable.
Even more laughable than Mr. Griffin's assertion that the experiences of an undercover journalist - revealing party members as the thugs they are - was actually in a section that had been coincidentally 'taken over' by racists. (I think it's here he makes this ludicrous comment).

Hmmm, kromovaracum is right about them making previous issues that had been put to bed a lot worse, and they are also very racist.
But, at the same time, this country does need a political group in power that is going to be tough on these radical religious groups, etc.
We need a party in power who is not afraid to bring England back to the standards we expect and all want.
Umfortunately people dont have any other alternative but to vote for the BNP at the moment.
I wouldnt vote for them as i find alot of their measures a little too extreme...

MrBen5 - radicalism should not be fought with radicalism. It's basically a war which ends in nothing but grief, maybe a revolution, and a new zeitgeist that could be less appealing than the one we have now. I'm consolidating dozens of years there into a sentence, but you get the idea.
The BNP is a vile party, one which preys on the dissatisfaction we have with current immigration controls, and manipulates media influence by playing the "sympathy" card with the white straight male which still holds a massive majority in this country. Their rhetoric is sprinkled with seemingly plausible political policies (apologies for the icky use of alliteration there) but would actually fail if implemented. This country relies massively on migrant workers.
What's wrong with this country is a lazy nation which has rested on its laurels for too long. The work ethic of British children and young men/women (predominantly the white ones) is lackluster, whereas the work ethic of India and China (etc) is one of nose-to-the-grind studying and hard work. I mean I saw a picture recently of Chinese children paddling on a raft just to go to school because of flooding in the area. We get 2 inches of snow and the country grinds to a halt. THAT is what should be concentrated on, not some wishy washy policy on paying immigrants to leave the country and removing pro-gay laws that took decades to introduce in the first place.

I am of the opinion that there are some issues that have been forced upon the people of the UK, against their wishes, to make life easier for immigrants. I would not call these put to bed because they will never go away...
Not really. There are plenty of immigrant-related issues which are hideously over-inflated by the media (and successfully - note the high circulation of the Daily Mail). No-one's unnecessarily forcing them on you except (ironically) our own media.
As Campfire explains, I'm referring to issues which have long been resolved and (broadly) part of our social consensus (such as ethnic and gay rights, or rights full stop in fact - neither of these example groups have it easy at all, but at least there's a generally sympathetic consensus in place). Under a British Nationalist government, these would come under threat - look to my links in the first post for proof of this.

NeilBaker: Decent some people may be (though I do question that assertion), that doesn't change the party's official standpoint. The "decent" ones (that's a subjective adjective I might add) do not seem to decide party policies. They are most likely the gullible saps who buy into the BNP's sympathetic and manipulative rhetoric that I was talking about earlier. The very fact you think someone sounding "convincing" is a reason to side with them is very telling.
The party is dangerous, full stop, and your vote would be better spent elsewhere. For example, on any party that wouldn't cause the distress, misery and discrimination of thousands of innocent people.

i must admit i like what i saw,
Eh? The man in the first link is clearly unbalanced, makes multiple ludicrous assertions ('we have actually won the hearts and minds of the British people', for instance). If he makes such a ridiculous comment so readily as a councillor, then God knows what he'd be like in government.
Campfire: To be fair, it's not right to assume that NeilBaker is a homophobe/racist (even if the party he supports is) - I hope Neil will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he's one of the anti-immigration group.
I'm going to respond to NeilBaker in another post...
