Is it possible to be: White, British, against an open door immigration policy and not be a Racist?

I don't think I am superior to any other race.

You're not racist. If you don't consider one race lesser than you, or endorse or partake in racial discrimination, you're not a racist. But nobody's said you are, as far as I'm aware.

I've never understood the right-winger complaint about being called racist whenever they try to express themselves - I've never seen it happen unless there's a genuinely racist comment made.

You may not like the UKs Immigration Policy but it is certainly not 'Open Door', if by that term you mean anyone who wants to can come here to live (and scrounge) can do so. They cannot.

Your post further down, you state that the BNP are not as bad as their image. This suggests to me you have sympathies with them. I consider the BNP to be race obsessed and discriminatory, which is a roundabout way of saying they are racist.

If you are indeed considering a vote for the BNP, then you either don't understand their policies or if you do and agree with their policies, then you must be racist.

Or maybe you are just fed up with all the major parties and you would vote for the BNP despite their racism, which means it doesn't really bother you.

I think you make a good point NEIL as I have often thought in these such posts that others play the racist card and think that they are better people for being sympathetic to immigrants and should let in more and more people.

the fact is that we should do more about our border control and I have often stressed the point that these people (however in need they are) bipass many european countries to get to Britain for one reason only - we are soft!

It's like saying that we should airlift the entire population of Africa who are starving to live here because we are such nice people and not at all racist!

Definitely. There are people who have a genuine concern about immigration policies but there are some racists that hide behind these arguments. I think the other day people arguing on here about 20 percent of crimes being commited by immigrant s in London yet they make up a greater proportion of the it than the percentage of crimes committed.

I'm not particularly concerned about immigration in all honesty. People die trying to get here for a better life. Ive been on holiday to Lampedusa when I was 18 its their gateway to Italy. Italy have it far, far worse than we do.
