Cameron's been wiping the floor with Miliband at PMQs. He better start like a statesman. Should he even be in the job?

He looks like a 'junior' in the carpet section of a large department store.

There seems to be precious little substance to him, certainly no gravitas and he sounds like a Head Boy who has been asked to give a speech at a school 'Prize Giving' evening.

dave.......early days.....give him a chance to grow into the job.
No to the headline question and no to the second query. I think he is probably a perfect example of a theorist who has never had a "proper" job and cannot connect with reality. In fact, to wander off message a bit, most of the current crop of Politicians who have never had "proper" jobs are quite useless and more fool those who voted for them. Just think if one voted for candidates who have had a "proper job" and have not abused the parliamentary perks,We would have either a very good parliament or an extremely small one. (dream on!!!)
I can't take to the man but as Sqad says it is early days. I don't think Cameron is half as good at the despatch box as William Hague.
However, be that as it may what the country needs is a little less rhetoric and a lot more action. What we seem to be getting is a whole series of U-turns and back-tracking from commitments made at the election. To say it is the price to pay for the "benefit" of having the coalition strikes me as being a little dishonest.

I find him very hard to watch.
Of course he isn't!!!
Labour would have a much better chance if they elected the eldest brother, Glen, as leader.
What Labour really needs is a dour son of the manse as leader.
Labour still haven't really sorted their future plans out. Hardly surprising; it took the Tories years to sort themselves out after Labour won. For all that, Brown came quite close to winning this year's election, so Miliband hasn't got nearly so much ground to make up as Hague/Duncan Smith etc had.
Ed Milliband sems to be like an ingenuous schoolboy. I would have thought he would have managed to get his act together and be more like a statesman by now. He has no gravitas and I don't think his fellow ministers have a lot of faith in him either. But after Labours' shambolic 13 year reign I think they are wise to lie low for a while.
