I hope so, it might then force Israel to stop their settlement programme and get back to talking to Fatah . There was a not dissimilar situation in Northern Ireland, had the US not supported the IRA through NORAID there would have been a settlement many years ago.

The US used to supply arms to the Mujahedin which went on to develop into a number of factions including the Taliban and Al Qaeda. If they supply arms to the Libyan rebels, it's a fair bet that some way down the line, those arms will be used to fight the US, UK and other western countries.
