It is most likely that the weak FA will either give Rooney a strong reprimand or impose a fine upon him.
Neither would be appropriate for this foul; mouthed individual, it is no use hitting the pocket of someone who gets thousands of pounds a week, and a reprimand would just roll off his back.
I say suspend him for a few matches with a loss of pay, but we all know this is not going to happen, in a game that is no longer a game but just big business.
What I meant aog is that as swearing is now the norm (unfortunately) on TV why the big fuss? The language used in the media is now at an all-time low and I fail to see why Rooney should be selected for castigation.
I hate football too lottie. The beautiful game? More like the bloody ugly game. Did you lot know it is against the law to swear in public - if someone takes offence you can be arrested. I'm sure you already know that though.- and how much more public can it be - so I do believe I have taken offence.
Fortunately Starbuck both Mr LL senior and junior both hate it too, mainly for what it has become nowadays. So at least I don't have to tolerate it in any way. It does seem to attract the yobbish element I must admit. (with apologies to Trigs!!)
How many of you would be happy if your children said, "when I'm older Daddy, I want to be just like Wayne Rooney". I can think of some things worse, but not many.
On tour in Hong Kong and unaware that he is miked up, The Duke of Edinburgh tells a photographer “Fu*k off or I’ll have you shot.”

The moral majority get into a proper old lather after Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols appears on live TV and calls presenter Bill Grundy “A fu*king rotter”.
