It is most likely that the weak FA will either give Rooney a strong reprimand or impose a fine upon him.

Neither would be appropriate for this foul; mouthed individual, it is no use hitting the pocket of someone who gets thousands of pounds a week, and a reprimand would just roll off his back.

I say suspend him for a few matches with a loss of pay, but we all know this is not going to happen, in a game that is no longer a game but just big business.

Tut Tut, turning aggressive again are we, big Rooney fan eh?

What a role model.
Actually I just thought his actions reiterated what a pleb he was. I also assumed his passion was reserved for prostitute grannies :-)
If the TV cameras continue to concentrate on Rooney close-ups, we'll know just how 'outraged' the TV executives are, won't we ?
OOOOoooo Boooo. lol
lmao, sorry- i epxect that comment will get pulled soon anyway.
What I meant aog is that as swearing is now the norm (unfortunately) on TV why the big fuss? The language used in the media is now at an all-time low and I fail to see why Rooney should be selected for castigation.
I hate bloody football!! And I hate it more because of the likes of thick chavs with foul mouths like Rooney!!

So there!!

I hate football too lottie. The beautiful game? More like the bloody ugly game. Did you lot know it is against the law to swear in public - if someone takes offence you can be arrested. I'm sure you already know that though.- and how much more public can it be - so I do believe I have taken offence.
is that right starbuck? Is it really? Oooooo interesting.....

/// england footballer - winner of medals - more money than sense, who would not want that for their boy AOG? ///

Tough call, but I'm afraid If it meant he would turn out to be person such as Rooney, then no thanks.
quite honestly.. with a goal like that, he can do whatever he likes .....:)
Boo all right, no need to be sarky. I don't really care whether he swears or not. I don't watch it so it doesn't bother me. :-)
Fortunately Starbuck both Mr LL senior and junior both hate it too, mainly for what it has become nowadays. So at least I don't have to tolerate it in any way. It does seem to attract the yobbish element I must admit. (with apologies to Trigs!!)
How many of you would be happy if your children said, "when I'm older Daddy, I want to be just like Wayne Rooney". I can think of some things worse, but not many.
I would be horrified Milly. I am very happy to have a husband and son who both hate football!!
milly - tantamount to a fate worse than death!
