I support Manchester United and I say Rooney is a gonk ! A talented, uncouth gonk !
A man blessed, by a higher power, with footballing talent........(who ought to have put a little more time into 'temperament', 'behaviour' and 'common-sense', it must be said).

I also agree that it is a little hypocritical to wear the England shirt and refuse to sing the National Anthem because of your proud Irish roots..........

But I still say that if someone can't or won't moderate their behaviour then we, as the paying public, can either put up or shut up.

I still say that swinging the camera away from (or at least stopping the close-ups) from Rooney after he's scored will have an effect. Not least with his sponsers.......!!
This is why the removal of your shirt after scoring was made illegal......!!

Rooney is a great player but a little bit of a bell end and doesnt seem to know how to behave. However, I still dont think that this warrants a two match ban as this kind of thing is rife in the game. The FA cant just make the rules up as it goes along, that definately needs to be looked into as others have here have quite rightly pointed out.
