And, magma, before you flay out on AB with some rhetoric that has not been well thought through, especially on political/economic/commercial/legal/socio/HR (etc etc) matters, there is usally someone on here that has had the experience and insights "on the ground" and that is one of the strengths and you should note accordingly. Yes, it is right to question political stances etc but, please, don't be so insulting to the point of almost accusing someone of lying. It is beneath you.

Magma, I don't think it's strange at all. There are all sorts of people on AB with a massive range of backgrounds and experiences. I've been to Africa, DTC moves in different circles to me so would meet different people. Doesn't mean any of us start international incidents - what experiences qualify you to make this sort of suggestion?
