But she might write to you from 10 Downing Street.

To protect the security of its staff, number 10 sends out letters signed by fictional employees. It seems like a rather bizarre solution and involves deceiving a great many of the general public.

Your sincerely,

I am a figment of my own imagination. I think I am Rene Descartes.

They had a signifcant security issue back in 05 and it has been common practice to mask identities.....I guess it is understandable as if I worked there I woudn't exactly welcome Mr or Mrs Nutter or the Bin Qadaffis chasing me.....
Gromit, you seem to ignore the post that it started in 2005.

I dont think Cameron was in then was he, could it actually have been your beloved labour party who started it?

Actually I agree with it. People should not be put at risk because of their jobs if it can be avoided.
Mr Kelly from the Isle of Man tourist board didn't exist either.
I wonder if anyone ever get a letter 'signed' by F You or G Whizz or (snigger snigger) P Niss
If Aunt Bessie is on your freezer Starbuckone, then who is the old lady in mine!!!!???
Ms E Adams stood as a candidate for the Lib Dems in the recent council elections for a ward in Solihull, she didn't win. Probably just as well as Downing Street would need another ficticious name to avoid confusion.
The Council Officers who deal with benefit claims in my area do not use their own names either.
Well if they can do it so can I!

Signed Mrs Angry - Tunbridge Wells
Aunt Bessie not real? Come off it, you'll be telling me that the tooth fairy is just a figment of my imagination next.
