Someone with a sense of humour bye-pass must have killed that thread.
bring on the Welsh tenor Barry-at from that unpronounceable Welsh town of Sagdiyev. He will win next year with a modernised version of "Go Compare."
But Azerbaijan isn't even in Europe
It is called a song contest but the lyrics can be hardly heard above the noise.
Out of all the hundreds of so called songs over the past 30 odd years how many are ever remembered . I picked out 12 words from Gromits video ( before it was pulled ), maybe that is why it won.
I just watched the last 5 minutes of voting out of curiosity.

Heard the winning entry and as most years thought, "if that was the best, God help those who had to sit through and listen to the rest".

I'm surprised we bother to send a known group to represent us, I thought we had made the right decision not to bother too much given the weird results of the past.
3000 odd miles away and they get a woman who lives in North London to represent them.
Apparently one of the qualiier songs was sung by a scottish woman living in the capital Baku..beggars belief don't it.

BTW any decent hotels in Baku... seems that Azerbaijan may have stretched itself somwhat to pull of an event of this size, its an ex soviet country after all
